Objective: Accurate identification and quantification of blood cell types are crucial in medical diagnostics and research. Traditional manual microscopy is time-consuming, prone to human error, and requires specialized expertise. A real-time, AI-driven solution is needed to automate blood cell classification, improve diagnostic efficiency, and provide reliable insights for medical professionals.
Solution: We developed an advanced image analysis system that integrates Ignition SCADA with a custom Python API powered by deep learning models. Our solution processes real-time microscopic images received by Ignition, classifying and counting blood cell types, including White Blood Cells (WBCs), Red Blood Cells (RBCs), and Platelets. Using our trained AI models, the system ensures accurate and automated cell recognition, enabling healthcare professionals to analyze blood samples efficiently without manual intervention. This automated approach enhances diagnostic accuracy, speeds up medical workflows, and supports large-scale blood analysis applications.
