iOS stands for iPhone Operation System. This is a versatile operating system software built by Apple, an American technology company. iOS is used on all the smartphones based on the iPhone form factor, starting from 2007 when the first iOS release was introduced to the public. The era of iPhone smartphones equipped with their branded iOS operating system began in 2005 when Steve Jobs combined the efforts of Macintosh and iPod development teams to build a new powerful mobile OS. The first version was called iPhone OS and was officially announced to the public and released in 2007. Later on in 2010, the initial name was rebranded to iOS.

Programming languages

iOS SDK
